Coloured Circle founded the Boekenclub to be able to discuss international books. We deal with novels, collections of poems and non-fiction by well-known and lesser-known authors. With the Book Club we want to make literature accessible to a wide reading public. We also want to establish a dialogue on themes that are relevant to society. The Boekenclub meets twice a month. Coloured Circle organizes many activities that touch on social, social and political themes. Such as discussion evenings and lectures on current topics such as diversity, the environment and the labor market. We also have a book club, to which we will regularly invite committed writers. Coloured Circle offers Dutch language lessons for non-native speakers who cannot afford a language course at commercial institutes. Do you have the refugee status? Then you can follow the language course ‘Praat Nederlands met me’ free of charge. We ask foreigners without refugee status a symbolic six-monthly fee. The focus is mainly on speaking and listening skills. But the programme also includes reading skills, writing skills and excursions. You will be taught by both students and qualified teachers. After successful completion of the ‘Praat Nederlands met me’ course! you will receive a certificate.
